Sausalito & Mill Valley Path Clean-Up Event
On Sunday, January 29, 2012, local families and volunteers can meet to maintain sensitive tidal wetland areas nearby to Sausalito. This walking path location hosts endangered species; trash and weeds need to be removed to ensure a proper habitat.
All ages of participants are allowed to attend this free event that is hosted by Marin County Parks. Volunteers have the opportunity to learn more about our area eco-system and the damages that foreign plants and weeds can cause for our native plant species.
On Sunday, January 29, at 10 a.m., path clean-up participants will meet under the Hwy. 101 bridge-area, in the parking lot that is located beside the Parks offices at: 100 Shoreline Hwy., in Mill Valley. This volunteer event lasts from 10 a.m. until 12-noon.
Volunteers should be comfortable wearing a belt-pack for their cameras, carrying a water bottle and while wearing sturdy shoes. This section of trail is flat; volunteers can plan to do light to moderate amounts of maintenance while visiting the wetlands nature trail.
